The DfE currently funds a range of evidence-based professional development options so you can hone your skills at every stage of your career, whether you wish to broaden your expertise with our specialist NPQs or develop your leadership skills with our leadership NPQs. Broaden your expertise - specialist NPQs
Take a specialist national professional qualification (NPQ) to enhance and develop your existing skills and knowledge both inside and outside of the classroom. These have one year of study followed by an assessment period.

Take a leadership-focused NPQ to help boost your knowledge and confidence as you progress into more senior roles. These have 18 months of study followed by an assessment period.
